The Bridger District also known as the Northern Rocky Mountain Economic Development District is a private, non-profit corporation created in 2006 to support economic development in the counties of Park and Gallatin.
We offer a variety of economic and community development services, small business technical assistance including start up and planning, grant writing and administration, and business recruitment and retention.
Our goal is to help the governments and citizens in each county achieve their economic goals while preserving their distinct cultures and way of life. We envision economically healthy, thriving communities that provide family wage jobs through a blend of vibrant entrepreneurial opportunities, diversified agricultural economies, efficient transportation systems linking communities, improved infrastructure, expanded retail opportunities, improved marketing, promotion and coordination of regional tourism, as well as attracting outside investment for projects and activities with regional impact.
The Bridger District provides Business Recruitment assistance to the community. In addition we provide Business Assistance through our TOPS (Team of Professionals) Program. TOPS provides business counseling services to the public.
The Bridger District assists businesses in obtaining State Government Grants. We assist with a Job Creation Grant awarded by the MT Department of Commerce and a Workforce Training Grant awarded by the MT Department of Labor and Industry.
The Bridger District specializes in working with local Nonprofits creating Impact Studies and Reports. We partner with Northwestern Energy to provide Grants that assist in paying for the Impact Reports. The Impact Report is a $400 cost to the Nonprofit.
